# Best Loose Leaf Tea Samplers: 10 to Try Before You Buy a Full Bag

Buying a full bag of loose leaf tea you end up hating is an expensive way to learn your taste. **A loose leaf tea sampler fixes that.** You get a handful of small packs, you brew them, and you find out what you actually love before you spend real money.
These are the 10 samplers I'd try first. Some are easy Amazon buys, and some come straight from tea shops that do one thing really well.

## How to Choose a Loose Leaf Tea Sampler
**Start with what you already drink.** If you take your tea with milk every morning, a black tea sampler will teach you more than a set of fruity herbals. If you mostly drink tea bags, a broad beginner set is the easiest step up.

## How to Get the Most Out of a Tea Sampler
**Brew one tea at a time and write down what you taste.** A few words is enough: malty, floral, grassy, smoky, too strong. After a week, your favorites will be obvious.
