# Black Friday Kettle Deals for Tea Drinkers: What to Buy and What a Good Price Looks Like
Josh Caliguire · Nov 2, 2026
*I research and test everything I recommend. As an Amazon Associate, I earn a small commission on purchases through my links. Your price stays the same, and I get to keep testing kettles. Win-win.*
The best Black Friday kettle deals for tea drinkers are on **temperature-control kettles**, the ones that let you brew green tea, oolong and yerba mate below boiling. If you only buy one thing this Black Friday for your tea, make it a good kettle. It changes every cup you make.
The big names to watch are **Fellow, Breville and Smeg**, which rarely go on sale the rest of the year. Cosori is already affordable, so it makes a great budget pick any day. Here's what to buy, what a good sale price looks like, and when to pull the trigger.
## Does Fellow Do Black Friday Sales?
**Yes, and it's one of the best times of year to buy one.** Fellow has run Black Friday sales on its own site for years: **about 20% off in 2023 and 2024, and up to 25% off select products in 2025.** In 2024 the sale started early, on the Monday before Thanksgiving.
Retailers like Amazon often match or come close during deal week, so check both. One catch: Fellow's newest products are sometimes left out of the biggest discounts, but **the Stagg and Corvo have been included in past sales**, which is exactly what tea drinkers want anyway.
## The Best Kettles to Buy on Black Friday
**1. Fellow Corvo EKG Pro: my pick**
**Price range:** about $175 to $200. [Check for current prices](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQYQB39K?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
The Corvo is Fellow's tea kettle. A wide spout pours fast for a teapot or mug, and you get **to-the-degree temperature control**, a hold mode, a brew timer and a scheduled boil. It's the kettle I'd buy if I could only have one for tea. **Great Black Friday price: under about $160.** [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQYQB39K?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**2. Fellow Stagg EKG Pro: for pour-over and gong fu**
**Price range:** about $175 to $200. [Check for current prices](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF7DXLBF?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
Same brains as the Corvo with a **precise gooseneck spout**. If you also make pour-over coffee or brew in a gaiwan, this is the one. **Great Black Friday price: under about $150.** [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF7DXLBF?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**3. Breville Smart Kettle Luxe: best big-batch kettle**
**Price range:** about $200 to $225. [Check for current prices](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4BQVZ6X?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
A 1.7 liter kettle with **one-touch presets for each tea type**, and a keep-warm setting. It's the pick for a family, a teapot-heavy household or anyone who wants to push one button and walk away. **Great Black Friday price: under about $180.** [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4BQVZ6X?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**4. Breville IQ Kettle: the classic**
**Price range:** about $150 to $180. [Check for current prices](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DYERBK?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
The older sibling of the Luxe, with five temperature presets and thousands of reviews behind it. **Great Black Friday price: under about $140.** [You can find it here](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DYERBK?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**5. Smeg Variable Temperature Kettle: the design pick**
**Price range:** about $250 to $275. [Check for current prices](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079395B2B?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
The retro Smeg look with real temperature control, which the classic Smeg doesn't have. You pay for design, so **Black Friday is the time to buy one: under about $210 is a great price.** My full take: [Blog: Is a Smeg Kettle Worth It?](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/is-a-smeg-kettle-worth-it?hsLang=en) [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079395B2B?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**6. Cosori Gooseneck 0.8 L: the budget pick that doesn't need a sale**
Five temperature presets, a one-hour keep-warm and a stainless interior, at a price that's already low. If it dips on Black Friday, great, but **it's a good buy any day of the year.** [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T1CH2HH?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
**7. Cosori Glass Kettle 1.7 L: the cheapest upgrade**
/c_pad,ar_4:3,b_white,w_1200/f_auto,q_auto/products/cosori-glass-kettle-1-7l-no-plastic)
Boil only, no temperature control, but **no plastic touches the water** and it's one of the most popular kettles on Amazon. A great gift or a dorm kettle. [Check price on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PP48979?tag=joshcaliguire-20).
## What a Good Black Friday Kettle Price Looks Like
| Kettle | Regular range | Great Black Friday price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Fellow Corvo EKG Pro | about $175 to $200 | under about $160 |
| Fellow Stagg EKG Pro | about $175 to $200 | under about $150 |
| Breville Smart Kettle Luxe | about $200 to $225 | under about $180 |
| Breville IQ Kettle | about $150 to $180 | under about $140 |
| Smeg Variable Temperature | about $250 to $275 | under about $210 |
Prices move fast during deal week, so check the current price before you buy.
## How to Shop Kettle Deals Without Regret
- **Buy temperature control if you drink anything besides black or herbal tea.** Green, white, oolong, matcha and yerba mate all taste better below boiling. Why it matters: [Blog: Why Is My Tea Bitter? It's Time and Temperature](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/time-and-temperature?hsLang=en).
- **Pick the size for how you brew.** 0.8 to 0.9 liters for one or two people and gooseneck pours. 1.7 liters for teapots and families. For a desk, see [Blog: Best Mini Kettle for Working From Home](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/best-mini-kettle-for-working-from-home?hsLang=en).
- **Decide if a gooseneck is worth it** before the sale tempts you: [Blog: Is a Gooseneck Kettle Worth It for Tea?](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/is-a-gooseneck-kettle-worth-it-for-tea?hsLang=en)
- **Check what touches the water.** If plastic matters to you, start with [Blog: The Best Electric Kettle Without Plastic](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/best-electric-kettle-without-plastic?hsLang=en).
- **Watch for older model numbers** sold as "deals," and buy from the brand or a major retailer so the warranty holds.

## Quick Questions
**When do Black Friday kettle deals start?**
Usually the week before Thanksgiving. This year Thanksgiving is November 26 and Black Friday is November 27, so watch from about November 19 through Cyber Monday, November 30.
**Should I buy now or wait for Black Friday?**
For Fellow, Breville and Smeg, wait. They rarely discount outside of big sales. For Cosori, there's little reason to wait.
**Is a kettle a good gift for a tea lover?**
One of the best. More ideas in [Blog: Christmas Gifts for Tea Lovers](https://www.joshcaliguire.com/blog/christmas-gifts-for-tea-lovers?hsLang=en).
**Homework:** pick your kettle today, note its "great price" from the table, and buy the moment it hits.
Much love,
Josh
